A month ago, I had downloaded a free English dictionary cum thesaurus that works off-line called 'WordWeb'. I loved it and I use it everyday. Today it pops up saying that I will be able to continue using the free version if I answer a simple question. I assumed it is one of those polls that companies want to take. The question was roughly this:
How many commercial flights have you taken in the past one year?
1) None
2) 1-2
3) more than 2
Since I have flown quite a lot between Bangalore-Bombay, I selected option 3.
And this is the result (click to enlarge).

I'm stuck between indignation and admiration.

Whoa. Enormous respect from my side, and yet, a little amazement at what they choose to penalise. Airplane flights? Really? It's really unavoidable, isn't it, the choice of mode of transport, unless you want to spend upside of 12 hours in a train? How much of a carbon footprint does a train leave? I don't think it can be small either.
On the other hand, respect is highly deserved. Brilliant. Of course you can find another dictionary program (The Sage being one), but a) this doesn't seem to be a bad app, and b) you get mildly irritated about not being able to use it. What a scheme. Maybe more programs will start doing this. Maybe those will talk of public vs private transportation.
Oh by the way...

I disagree.. the most important time is implantation. If that doesnt happen gastrulation is out of the question.
See, that's what you get for polluting God's work!
And telling the truth.. XD
WordWeb does offer an explanation for the weird licensing terms.
If you think that modifying registry values to unblock WordWeb is unethical, try Stardict (comes with many dictionaries) or TheSage.
